FAQs
Everything you need to know about Alarmio.
How did you come up with this concept?
I (Martin) had huge issues getting up in the morning, and alarm tones felt like a horrible way to wake up for many years.
Now, I can wake up gently, always knowing what time it is, and feel motivated to get up for the right reasons :)
Why is Alarmio paid?
We pay for AI credits with third-party AI tools to generate personalized messages and custom audio with custom voices. Because of this, we can only offer one alarm for free with a limited number of regenerations.
A low-fee subscription also helps us maintain the app, develop new features, and continue improving the experience so you can start your day better.
How do I control the alarm volume?
Go to your iPhone audio settings and change the ringtone volume. Due to iPhone restrictions, the alarm volume and ringtone volume are always the same.
How do snoozes work?
Snoozes are planned ahead of time. They tell you the correct time and increasingly nudge you to get out of bed, so you are never surprised.
Why can’t I snooze with the volume or power buttons?
Due to limitations of Apple’s AlarmKit, we do not have the option to snooze using the volume or power buttons, even though Apple’s own alarms support this behavior.
Instead, these buttons turn off the alarm completely. So make sure to only use the large snooze button shown on the alarm screen.
Why do I have to open the app after my phone has been off?
Because we use a countdown timer on your Lock Screen to show when your next alarm goes off, Apple is unable to reliably keep alarms scheduled due to a limitation in iOS.
If you enable an alarm and then turn off your phone, be sure to briefly open the app again after turning your phone back on.
If you would rather avoid this limitation entirely, we recommend disabling Live Activities for that alarm.
Tap an alarm to edit it and turn off Live Activities. This ensures your alarm persists correctly, even if you turn your phone off and on again.
Why didn’t my alarm go off?
That is very weird! Please reach out to us at support@alarmioapp.com with as many details as possible, and we would love to look into it.
